Applications open for creative support

A new development programme is offering 15 of the county’s creatives the chance to turn their talent into a sustainable living.
Gloucester’s new creative studios, Jolt, has opened applications for the opportunity to be selected as an official Jolt Resident.
Jolt is dedicated to helping new and growing creative freelancers, businesses and charitable organisations, and will be ready for its first stage of opening in November.
Successful Jolt Residents will benefit from 24 hour access to their own private studio space or a semi-private pod, complete with lockable storage, an individually tailored support programme, personal mentoring and discounted use of additional meeting, rehearsal and workshop space.
Residents have the choice of letting a semi-private Studio Pod (£30-40 per month) or large private Studio Office (£150 per month). These are Jolt’s premium spaces for people who want to make a living in the creative industries, and come complete with unlimited superfast Wi-fi and bean to cup coffee.
The cohort will become connected to a network or likeminded individuals who will support them on their journey of development.
Applications are open now until Saturday 31 October. Appointments to view spaces and discuss the programme are available on request, and applicants can find out more from the Jolt website.
