UoG Alumni welcomed back to help students ‘design their life’!

The Your Future Plan team – responsible for helping students to gain work experience and achieve fulfilling careers – are delighted to welcome UoG alumni to contribute to this year’s flagship employability festival: the Design Your Life Festival. The week-long event is aimed at helping all students to take control of their career choices, plan for the changing world of work and build crucial skills such as resilience, confidence and public speaking (among others!).

As in previous years, we couldn’t do it without the input of our fantastic graduates, who offer their time and wisdom on our Alumni Stories panels, sharing their experiences on topics such as ‘Overcoming challenges’, ‘An unexpected career journey’ and ‘Lessons I wish I’d known when I was a student!’

If you would like to be involved in future events, by sharing your own experiences or providing insight into different career paths, please let our Events Coordinator Jackie Powell know, by dropping an email: jackiep@glos.ac.uk

The Design Your Life Festival – which kicks off on Monday 28 February with a day-long, interactive Life Design course – is being held virtually and in-person and is open to all current students and recent graduates. If you are interested in finding out more, then please do take a look at all events on the Design Your Life Festival site.
