The Sinai event or covenant (Exodus 19-24) is central to the Old Testament and to Jewish and Christian tradition. The lecture will explore the explosive view of the world embodied in the Sinai event and its relevance to public life, including education, today.
Director of the Kirby Laing Institute for Christian Ethics, Craig is a previous Senior Research Fellow at the University of Gloucestershire. Having studied Theology at the University of South Africa and Oxford University, he spent several years in the pastoral ministry before moving into lecturing. He is the author of many books and recently completed his God Who Acts in History? The Sinai Event.
