Welcome to the blog page for the University of Gloucestershire Biosciences courses. You’ve probably navigated here today looking for information on our courses available through clearing.
Please do read on through the blog as it gives you a very good flavour of life at UoG while studying either BSc. Biology, BSc. Animal Biology or BSc. Ecology and Environmental Science. You can also check out the modules on offer while studying by looking at the course maps for respective courses by clicking the links at the bottom of this post.
Firstly, congratulations on your exam results, and secondly, good luck in your journey choosing your University course. Our advice is to explore course maps (the list of modules you can study) and always look for those added extras a good course can bring:
Personal tutor system (with us you have a tutor for three years)
Career prospects after graduation (we have above average graduate employment 6 months after graduation, and lots of volunteering opportunities during your course!)
Field trips (here there’s options of Borneo, South Africa, Coastal Wales, Switzerland…. need I say more?!)
Exam:Coursework ratio (we prefer to test your skills you’ll need/use in employment, so you’ll submit coursework as consultancy reports, scientific papers, Ecological Impact Assessments, posters, executive summaries, briefing papers and alike. There are exams too, but relatively few!)
