About us

The Changing Environments research group represents the work carried out within Environmental related disciplines, incorporating aspects of Physical Geography, Ecology and Environmental Sciences. The research themes of the group reflect the interdisciplinary nature of the work, with themes focusing on:

Key projects include:

  • Evaluating the effectiveness of natural flood management interventions (collaborating with the Environment Agency, Gloucestershire County Council, Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, Stroud District Council, Wildfowl & Wetland Trust)
  • Reconstructing contemporary glacial change in the Antarctic Peninsula (collaborating with the British Antarctic Survey and University of Newcastle)
  • Relative sea-level change since the Last Glacial Maximum (collaborating with Durham University and University California Santa Barbara)
