Exciting new modules coming soon for Games Design & Games Programming.
Following on from our Course Conference at the start of semester 2 we have agreed to develop some new modules to come on stream in 2020 and 2021. These include a first year module on Mobile Design by Zayd, a second year module on Virtual & Augmented Reality with Rachel and finally a third year module called Personal Portfolio taught by John.
This module introduces students to the core techniques required to design and build interactive 2D/3D mobile applications from asset creation to deployment. The module will also cover 2D/3D graphics, animation and scripting within a game or digital media context as well as the user experience.
Virtual & Augmented Reality
The module aims to provide the student with knowledge of the fundamental theories and principles of Mixed Technologies, while developing an understanding of appropriate methodologies to design and develop an implementation using these technologies.
This module equips students with the tools and mindset needed to be successful in starting their professional career after graduating from the university. The students’ ability to scrutinise their own work and present this and themselves in a professional way will be further developed with the aim to establish a confident and self-aware approach to applying for roles in the industry.
