{"id":1111,"date":"2013-03-11T17:38:42","date_gmt":"2013-03-11T17:38:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uniofglos.blog\/creativewriting\/?p=1111"},"modified":"2013-03-11T17:38:42","modified_gmt":"2013-03-11T17:38:42","slug":"angela-france-book-launch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uniofglos.blog\/creativewriting\/2013\/03\/11\/angela-france-book-launch\/","title":{"rendered":"Angela France Book Launch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Acclaimed poet Angela France, a University of Gloucestershire lecturer and PhD student, is launching her new book, <em>Hide<\/em>, at the University on Thursday 21st March.<\/p>\n<p>Angela\u2019s poems have been anthologised a number of times, she has won the <a href=\"https:\/\/uniofglos.blog\/creativewriting\/2011\/10\/18\/angela-france-wins-lightship-poetry-prize\/\" title=\"Angela France wins Lightship Poetry\u00a0Prize\">Lightship International Poetry Prize<\/a>, and her previous publications include <em>Occupation<\/em> (Ragged Raven Press) and <em>Lessons in Mallemaroking<\/em> (Nine Arches Press). Her new collection has been described by David Morley as \u2018a book of wisdom, dignity, and first witness\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>As if that\u2019s not enough for you, the evening also promises the chance to hear <a href=\"https:\/\/uniofglos.blog\/creativewriting\/profiles\/nigel\/\" title=\"Nigel\">Professor Nigel McLoughlin<\/a> read from his prize winning poetry. The launch is in TC007, at 7:30pm, on Thursday 21st March.
