Firstly, part-time lecturer and PhD student Rowan Middleton has had a poem published in the latest edition of the Irish poetry magazine \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theshop-poetry-magazine.ie\/\">THE SHOp<\/a>\u2019. The poem \u2018Woodway\u2019 follows the progress of a hunter through an atmospheric landscape at dusk. Other contributers to the magazine include Mike Barlow and Michael Longley.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/uniofglos.blog\/creativewriting\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2019\/01\/bestfantasyjpg.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/uniofglos.blog\/creativewriting\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2019\/01\/bestfantasyjpg.jpg?resize=97%2C150&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"9781907773358frcvr.indd\" width=\"97\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1226\" \/><\/a> Secondly, Creative Writing Lecturer Tyler Keevil has had his short story, \u2018Fearful Symmetry,\u2019 selected for inclusion in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.saltpublishing.com\">Salt<\/a>\u2019s forthcoming anthology, <em>The Best British Fantasy 2013<\/em>. Tyler\u2019s story, which was first published in <em>Interzone <\/em>magazine, is set in a remote area of Siberia.  It deals with themes of conservation and survival in a dystopian future, where both humans and animals are endangered.
