First, third year student Rosanna Riches has had two poems published in the latest edition of <a href=\"http:\/\/anglepoetry.yolasite.com\/current-issue.php\"><em>Angle Poetry<\/em><\/a>. Rosanna&#8217;s contributions are entitled &#8216;Scales&#8217; and &#8216;Trending Beheading&#8217; and the issue can be downloaded in its entirety <a href=\"http:\/\/anglepoetry.yolasite.com\/current-issue.php\">here<\/a>. Fellow third year Josh Martin has also received good new recently: he had a poem, &#8216;Office at Night,&#8217; accepted for publication in <em>Obsessed with Pipework<\/em> poetry journal. The poem is an ekphrasic piece after a painting by the American artist Edward Hopper and is Josh&#8217;s first publication outside University.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/uniofglos.blog\/creativewriting\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2019\/01\/new-writing.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1757 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/uniofglos.blog\/creativewriting\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2019\/01\/new-writing.jpg?resize=80%2C113&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"New Writing\" width=\"80\" height=\"113\" \/><\/a>Not to be outdone by her talented students, poetry lecturer Angela France has also had a new publication this week.\u00a0 Her latest piece, &#8216;Tailor&#8217;s Chalk&#8217;, appears in the current issue of <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/eprint\/KihdQhjfweWgGi6MBJMA\/full#.U2Phflf-TK0\">New Writing<\/a>: The International Journal for the Practice and Theory of Creative Writing<\/em>.\u00a0 You can check it out <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/doi\/full\/10.1080\/14790726.2014.912332#.U2Pjb1f-TK0\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The UoG poets have been very busy lately, and after the success of events at the Cheltenham Poetry Festival we now have more good news to announce.
