News from second year Eva Brooks.

“This image was created in response to my own brief called Out of Place. The aim was to stage a scene that I believed was out of place, developing from my self-portrait work. I took an inside scene of ironing outside and then switched up the expected into the unexpected by having the shirts that are supposed to be on the ironing board in the tree, and then apples that are supposed to be on the tree on the ironing board. I then made a comment on the typical 1950s housewife by dressing up as a character from that era that I believe is also out of place in today’s society.”
