First Year Ruby Rosser photographs her grandparents for the Personal Portfolio Module.

“Here I have two images from my series titled ’19 Penygraig Road.’ The series focuses on my grandparents in their home in the Rhondda Valleys. Through a combination of still life images and natural portraits, my aim was to capture portraits which represents who they are and the quiet life that they lead. I shot some of the work using a HasselBlad I wanted to experiment further with different cameras formats. The tones and the colours of the final images help further inform the narrative and develop my visual language.”
