Zine Brief
When starting off the Editorial with Moving Image module I came across the work of Zed Nelson and specifically ‘love me’ series which has been a huge inspiration for the Zine brief.
I decided to look in to Pageant girls when creating my zine and moving image but instead of just having the pretty perfect feel which is what they wanted.
I tried to get a behind the scenes and have a real look in to what it’s like to be involved in Pageants. My aim in this brief was to break the stereotype of pageant life.
Portrait To Promote
This is Lucy who is a Norland Nanny. Norland college is a prestige Nannying school based in Bath producing best of the best in childcare.
Their iconic uniform is very traditional making them always smart and prepared. When approaching the ‘Portrait To Promote’ brief I wanted to capture the classic feel of the Norland Nanny looking at the details of their uniforms making the images feel elegant but also have that exclusive feel.
