Student Success!! Emmanuella Maeba Wins Stills Photographer of the Year at London & South East England Prestige Awards 2021

‘On the 12th March 2021, I received an email from Emma Burrows, an awards coordinator from the London & South East England Prestige Awards 2021, where she was able to explain to me about the nomination stage of the award and how she wanted me to take part. I couldn’t believe it at first but I then thought to myself “Ok, this is serious!”.
I submitted my questionnaire didn’t think much of it, until I got an email from Jake Powers on the 7th July 2021 congratulating me for being the 2020 winner of “Stills Photographer of the Year” attached with the prestige award logo for the recognition as a Unit Stills Photographer. I was so happy with this news. This kind of recognition, I hope, will help me to build on all the transferable skills learnt on the Editorial and Advertising course to become a commissionable stills photographer for film and tv in the near future.’
