Education students from the Universities of Gloucestershire

and Girona share best practice

From 20-24 February, the School of Education hosted eight 2nd year teacher trainees from the Faculty of Education and Psychology at the University of Girona in Spain as part of an innovative cross-national peer-to-peer mentoring scheme being led by Dr Alex Masardo and Dr Miquel Alsina. The students are paired with eight of our own second year students and over the coming months they will be working together in virtual spaces to share best practice, offer peer support and reflect on their respective training and placement experiences through different cultural and policy lenses. There will be a return visit by our students in May, when the University of Girona will be providing a programme of academic and cultural activities intended to enrich knowledge and cooperation between students and staff of both universities.
