Pedagogosium 2019, Wednesday 1st May

Final year BEd students attended this year’s pedagogosium and had a rich array of opportunities to reflect on their own dissertation research and the significance of research in their future careers as teachers.  Linda Kay( @lyndaMCKay18)and Neil Gilbride(@nmgilbride) shared details of our masters programme and current masters students, Lance Boston and Alison Launchbury, shared some reflections on their own action research studies.

Students shared mini-posters, reflecting on how they used both research literature and their own empirical evidence to develop their practice as teachers.

An inspirational and somewhat left field keynote address was given by Greg Bottrill(@GregBotrill), former UoG PGCE student and author of ‘Can I go and play now’.  All in all, a wonderful afternoon of reflecting on the value of research in professional practice and experiencing the joy of made up words (#pedagogosium).  Thank you to all tutors who contributed in any way.
