Students Report Back on the Cheltenham Literature Festival
24th October 2014
Marco Pavone wrote: ‘I participated in a project called the memory bank, and what it entailed was for me to walk around and ask people at random if I could record their past experiences and opinions of the literature festival. I enjoyed having responsibility and a role that was based on speaking to literally anyone in a relaxed environment. There were other students from different parts of humanities that got involved in different ways, and the most memorable was a student reciting poetry out in the open that was both unforgettable and intellectually stimulating. It was an insightful experience to be the interviewer of mostly older festival goers, and to come to realize what approach to inquisitive conversation works and does not’.
