Festival of Learning 2023
Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 June
The Festival of Learning, our annual celebration of good practice in teaching and support for learning, is set to return in 2023 on Tuesday 13 June (in person, at Park Campus, Cheltenham) and Wednesday 14 June (online).
The theme of this year’s event is ‘The Education of the Future’, prompting us to share how we are developing our practice to produce engaged and successful students.
The Festival is open to all staff from academic schools, professional services and partner institutions, so please hold the dates in your diary. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to engage in creative thinking around teaching and learning as you will leave refreshed and inspired:
‘The Festival was an opportunity for me to stop, pause, think and be re-energised by like-minded academics. It was a chance for me to focus on some critical thinking and it reminded me of why I came into higher education.’
‘The sessions were directly informative to practice. It was excellent to see how colleagues are facing challenges and/or making opportunities in their contexts in order to gain new ideas.’
Call for Contributions
The call for contributions to the Festival of Learning 2023 is now open, with opportunities to participate in a variety of sessions. Submissions are welcome from all members of the University of Gloucestershire community, including our partners, whether you are early career, professional services, or seasoned academics (presenting with students if you wish).
The closing date for submissions is midday on Friday 31 March 2023.
If you have any questions about the Festival of Learning, and particularly how you might contribute, please email fol@glos.ac.uk.
