About the presenter:  After studying Business Marketing in the early nineties, Rob worked in marketing in the United States, London and then managed a marketing department for a multinational. Returning to higher education in the following decade with a keen interest in e-commerce, Rob studied for a B.Ed and shortly after an MSc in Technology Enhanced Learning. This led to involvement in the development of an EU-funded international MOOC, eLearning platform development, production of a work-based learning Assessor App and designing various blended learning modules for education institutions. Rob is passionate about the support that ‘Edu Tech’ can offer, and sees this as solid scaffolding to raise learner engagement and achievement. Professional consultancy work and presentations include various government agencies, JISC, LSN, local SMEs and FE institutions. Rob also supports his wife’s business with web-site design, web2 and e-commerce. Current PhD research interests include the design and development of ‘hybrid courses’, blended learning environments and pedagogical impacts of ‘mobile learning’ within both the university landscape and business.
