The University of Gloucestershire’s eLearning initiative, which is ongoing, has provided funding and advice to a number of projects over the last year or so. At the Festival of Learning in June 2017, a number of these projects were showcased in a lunchtime exhibition. The sustainability team also showcased work undertaken as part of their LIFT: Learning Innovation for Tomorrow <\/em>strand, and some other projects across the University used it as an opportunity to share their work with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitors voted, with the help of the Academic Development Unit’s Learning Technologists, for the most interesting stand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winner was Psychology student Janet Oostendorp, whose work on therapy dogs has begun to move in the direction of VR in addition to the live work. Janet is joined in the picture by student Jodie Callow, and Maisie, the therapy dog, as well as by Dr David Webster<\/a>, the University’s Head of Learning & Teaching Innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The runner -up was Jeremy Power <\/a>(pictured here with willing student Bryony Blyth, and Dave again), whose Risk Assessment eLearning Project was rolled out across the Media School, and became a prerequisite for students wanting to book out equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
