Dominic Clifton
Dominic graduated from the University of Gloucestershire in 2008 after completing a BA Honours Degree and Post Graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture.
 
Shortly after graduating Dominic joined LHC Urbanism, a multidisciplinary practice based in the South West. Working as an Urban Designer he was involved in a number of projects ranging from large-scale master plans to intricate public realm schemes.
 
A 6-month sabbatical during 2012 enabled him to travel the east coast of Australia and visit a number of major regeneration projects including a large redevelopment project in Sydney and the reconstruction of the South Bank Parkland in Brisbane.
 
Dominic has been involved in Clifton Emery Design from its inception in 2013. The company was established as a multidisciplinary practice specialising in placemaking, with expertise in Urban Design, Masterplanning, Architecture, Graphic Design and Landscape Architecture. The practice aims to balance the competing needs of development, ensuring its schemes are inspiring, technically sound, environmentally aware and commercially astute.
 
Working as an Urban Designer, Dominic has been closely involved in a wide range of projects from strategic master planning and visioning projects to smaller scale public realm schemes including;  Wolseley Road, a corridor enhancement scheme along the western gateway into Plymouth; Tiverton Eastern Urban Extension – An urban extension and major strategic master planning project to the eastern side of Tiverton; and Teignbridge Towns and Villages Project which involved identifying opportunities for change and improvement cross 3 towns and 1 village in Devon.
 
Dominic has deeply held a  passion for what has become a fulfilling career which began on the landscape course at the University of Gloucestershire
