Law and Accounting Christmas Quiz

Last night, students from the Law and Accounting teams went head-to-head in an International themed quiz.

Rounds included international flags and landmarks, name the song, general knowledge and a devilishly difficult Christmas round.

Winners of the wooden spoon were the group ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ (Level 5 Law students, Harry, Shauna, Kate and Hannah), whilst the race for the top spot was more hotly contended.

The North Ghana Jackals and The Cowboys both ended up with the top score of 69, meaning we had to go to a tie-break question. The Cowboys provided the closest answer to the question of how many metres high Angel Falls was.  Given that the actual height was 979 metres, The Cowboys guess of 850 was much closer than The North Ghana Jackals’ estimation of 333! That meant the prize went to The Cowboys (Level 6 Accounting students, Jason, Alice and Carl – pictured to the right).

Special thanks to Tracy, Xiaoling and Archan for providing a delicious and wide array of international food for the event!

If you fancy a taster of some of the questions, see if you can answer the following questions from a range of the rounds:
