About

We are a relatively small law school but one that punches above its weight. The Guardian University League table 2016 ranked us 32nd out of 98 law schools, taking us in to the top third of schools nationally.

According to the NSS 98% of our students were satisfied with the course last year, 97% were satisfied with the teaching and 92% were happy with the feedback received on the course.

We currently offer two versions of the LLB undergraduate degree, a  3 year course (which can also be studied part time over 4 years) and a ‘fast-track LLB’, which can be completed in 2 years.

The subject community is made up from those with a background as lawyers in private practice and academics, with interests in a wide range of legal issues. Our focus is on ensuring that students have the support they need to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for them to follow their future plan in whatever profession they choose, whether that is within legal practice, academia or another profession entirely.

The subject community also works with employers and professional bodies to ensure we promote ‘career ready graduates‘  who can demonstrate the skills necessary to enter the workplace.
