While reading around darts, I came across this quote from darts commentator Sid Waddell who once said (of Eric Bristow – “the crafty cockney”) :

‘When Alexander the Great was 33 he cried salt tears because there were no more worlds to conquer. Bristow is only 27.’

p.s. – for Darts anoraks – some interesting facts about Bristow: he is a Polydactyl (he has six toes on his right foot), and also suffered from Dartitis – which is a psychological condition – which meant he somehow felt himself to be unable to let go of his dart when throwing it.
