Uni Glos RPE research at London Climate Change Strike

Central London October Rising: this week I was fortunate enough to talk to a number of climate change activists, many of them from Extinction Rebellion, about how their religious and spiritual beliefs and practices inform their activism. I had some extraordinary conversations with Buddhists, Christians, Pagans, Neo-Shamans and followers of the Goddess and also with Humanists, Atheists and those who did not really know. Whatever the outcome of their action, Trafalgar Square was a place transformed and the question of climate change emergency was greatly amplified along the streets and across bridges that lie at heart of the U.K.’s ruling establishment…even Nelson looked worried!
