Buddhism and Climate Activism @ RPE Glos

This week we were delighted to host Satya Robin, an ordained member of the Pureland Buddhist tradition based in Malvern. Satya is a seasoned activist and campaigner for Extinction rebellion Buddhists and has been engaging in direct non violent civil action since October last year. During our session she spoke of the ethical imperative of Buddhists to engage with direct action in order to affect wider societal change and to apply Buddhist principles of compassion and wisdom to the question of Climate Emergency. She was faced with some searching questions put by the students and expressed her concerns and thoughts in an insightful and compelling manner. Many thanks Satya, we hope you will come and join us again soon.
