The University Archive holds an early edition of the King James Bible, which celebrates it’s 400th anniversary this year. The King James Bible was originally published in 1611 and was a new translation of the Bible in English. William Tyndale of Gloucestershire was one of the translators whose work went on to produce this version of the Bible. The edition featured was published in 1684.

The Humanities Department at the University of Gloucestershire are running a blog based on the King James Bible, and this can be found at http://kingjamesbibleproject.blogspot.com/
