Albert Thomas Victor Roberts was born c.1889 and had been a pupil at the Practising School.

He was a regular Private in the 2nd Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment having enlisted in 1912, and was serving in China at the outbreak of war. He arrived at the Western Front on 18 December 1914 and was later wounded at St Eloi on 10 January 1915. He died on 18 January 1915, aged 26, and is commemorated on the Menin Gate memorial.
