Arthur Henry Sims, son of Frank Sims, was born in 1888.

He enlisted as a Private in the 10th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment, where he went on to fight in the Somme region of France. Arthur was most probably wounded by machine gun fire near Bazentin La Petit before being evacuated to the casualty clearing station at Heilly where he died on 1 August 1916, age 28. He is buried at Heilly Station Cemetery, Mericourt-L’Abbe.
