Arthur W Smith was the son of John and Mary Smith who lived at 36 Glenfall Street, Cheltenham.
Arthur became a Gunner in the 35th (Reserve) Battery of the Royal Field Artillery. He became ill and died on 24 October 1918, age 24. He is buried at Cheltenham Cemetery where is headstone reads “Grant him eternal rest”.
