Edward Francis Fadden originally attended Southwick Park School before becoming a student at Cheltenham from 1913 – 1915. While a student he played rugby as a member of the college team.

Edward became a Lance Corporal in the 23rd Battalion Royal Fusiliers and died on 29 January 1917. He is buried at Courcelette British Cemetery in the Somme region.
