Francis Henry Buskell was originally from Tottenham before moving to Cheltenham and eventually working at Parks Stores in the High Street.

He first enlisted in the Gloucestershire Regiment and then became a Rifleman in the King’s Royal Rifle Corp. He died fighting in the same sector as classmate Joseph Mason on 30 November 1917. He left behind a widow and two year old son called Reginald, who went on to lose his life during the Second World War. Francis has no known grave and is commemorated on the Cambrai Memorial.
