Frank Brown was the son of Charles and Alice Brown, born in 1897 and living in Marle Hill Road. After leaving the Practising School he worked at J Barrett and Son, Nurserymen on the Bath Road.
Frank enlisted as a Private in the 1st Battalion Worcestershire Regiment and was sent to France. He was killed on 10 January 1918 at the age of 20, and is buried at Tyne Cot Cemetery, having previously been exhumed. His headstone reads “Loved Son of C J and A Brown, Cheltenham”.
