Frank Edward Green had been a pupil at the Practising School and later became a regular Private in the 1st Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers.

He had been stationed in Malta on the outbreak of war and arrived in France on 7 October 1914. He died holding back the enemy at Zonnebeke near Ypres on 21 October 1914. He is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, having no known grave.
