Frank Jackway is listed as Frank Jakeway in the Cheltenham Chronicle and Gloucestershire Graphic and on Commonwealth War Graves Commission records. He was born c.1895 and had been a pupil at the Practising School.
Frank joined the 7th Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment in June 1914 before the outbreak of war, and was sent to Gallipoli in July 1915. He was shot through the heart and killed whilst digging a trench on 12 August 1915, aged 20.
