Frank Smith Marrow was from Wigan and attended Cheltenham Training College between 1914 – 1916. He had previously been a student at Standish Grammar School and his parents were Henry and Harmah.
Frank became a Private in the 9th Battalion Royal Fusiliers and was killed on 11 October 1916, aged 21. He is buried at Longueval Road Cemetery where his headstone reads “Thy Will Be Done”.
