Frank William Gill enlisted as a Trooper in the Royal Gloucestershire Hussars before being sent to Palestine. He was captured on 23 April 1916 at the Battle of Qatia and became a prisoner of war. Frank died of dysentery while still in captivity on 29 September 1916. He was 20 years old. Frank is buried at Baghdad North Gate War Cemetery in Iraq.
