George Charles Fennemore had attended Fratton School, Portsmouth, before training to be a teacher at Cheltenham Training College from 1905 – 1907. While a student he was a member of the Nineveh house group.
George went on to become a Second Lieutenant in the Royal Engineers and died only eight days before Armistice on 3 November 1918. He was 32 years old. He had been fighting on the Mesopotamian Front was buried at Basra War Cemetery.
