Harry Bevan lived at 10 Brunswick Terrace with his wife Florence and worked at Jordan Coal Merchants after leaving the Practising School.

He became a Private in the 12th (Service) Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment and was killed during heavy shelling in the Arras region of Northern France on 17 July 1917. Harry is buried at Thiennes British Cemetery.
