Harry Hill was originally from Bristol but moved to Cheltenham with his parents Harry and Mary, living in All Saints Road. He was a pupil at St Paul’s Practising School.

He became a Private in the 14th Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment, and died age 22 years on the same day as Frederick Brown and John Cox, 22 October 1917. Having no known grave he is recorded on the Tyne Cot Memorial.
