Henry Arthur Packer Dunn was born on 1 December 1898 to Henry and Emily Dunn. He attended St Paul’s Practising School from 22 October 1906 while living at Victoria Cottages, St Paul’s Road.

Aged 18, Henry became a Rifleman in the 1st/ 5th Battalion South Lancashire Regiment and was killed by the explosion of a hidden mine on 17 September 1918.  A burial return for Henry states that although a marked grave was attributed to him, no body was found upon exhumation. He is commemorated on the Loos Memorial in France.
