John Page started at the Practising School on 25 September 1899, at the age of 6. Later he married Annie and lived at 18 York Street, Cheltenham.
He became a Private, initially in the Devonshire Regiment and then the Labour Corps. He was killed on 7 October 1917 during the 3rd Battle of Ypres and is buried at New Irish Farm Cemetery just outside Ypres.
