John Parker was a student at Cheltenham Training College from 1908 – 1910 and was originally from East Greenwich. Whilst at college he was a member of the rugby team and Nineveh house group. He later travelled to Canada, as his address is listed as Strathcona University, Alberta, in the 1912 – 1913 College Notes and Directory.
He was a Second Lieutenant in the 4th Royal Flying Squadron and died on 21 July 1915. He is commemorated on the Achiet-Le-Grand Communal Cemetery Extension in France.
