Oswald Woodward Foulkes-Winks was a Cheltenham Training College student from 1913 – 1915. He was the son of Benjamin and Mary Adeline Foulkes-Winks, of 32 Loveday Road, Ealing, London.

Oswald was a Second Lieutenant in the 13th Battalion Middlesex Regiment who died on 20 July 1916, age 21. He is buried at the Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension in France and his headstone reads “At the going down of the sun, and in the morn, we will remember thee”.
