Reginald Wilfred Evans was the son of Edward and Sophia Evans and fiancé of Hilda Maisey.

He enlisted as a Private in the 1st/ 5th Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment in 1915 before travelling to the Western Front. Reginald died on 18 October 1918, less than a month before the end of the war and the day before he was due to return home to marry Hilda. He was 22 years old. Reginald is buried at Highland Cemetery, Le Cateau, where his grave is marked by a cross.
