Sydney Bishop was a twin born on 26 April 1894 and lived at 29 Hungerford Street while he attended the Practising School.

He became a Driver in the Royal Field Artillery but was gassed while serving in France. He was brought back to England but died of appendicitis on 10 November 1917 at Bute Hospital, Luton. He is buried at Cheltenham Cemetery where his headstone reads “Safely Gathered In”.
