Sidney Kidd was the son of James and Tamara Kidd who ran the Hanover Inn in Hanover Street. He lived with his wife Winifred at 8 Fairfield Walk, Leckhampton.

Sidney became a Private in the Machine Gun Corps (Infantry) and died from wounds in France on 20 July 1918. He was 29 years old and was buried in Pernes Cemetery.
