Wilfred Bullock was born on 8 January 1899 and attended St Paul’s Practising School from 2 October 1905, while living at 7 March Lane. His parents were Joseph and Hannah Bullock. After leaving school on 20 December 1912 he worked at R E and C Marshall Engineers in Clarence Street.

Wilfred became a Private in the Machine Gun Corps (Infantry), after initially serving in the Wiltshire Regiment. He sustained a head wound and died on 4 October 1918, aged 18. Wilfred is interred at Tincourt New British Cemetery in France.
