William Alfred Jennings was the only son of Ellen Mary Jennings of 10 Hanover Street.
He worked at Cheltenham Gas Company before enlisting as a Private in the 1/5th (Territorial) Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment along with Claude Bullingham. He was invalided due to shell shock before he was killed on 5 April 1917, the same day as Claude. He is buried in the same cemetery, Unicorn Cemetery at Vendhuile, where his headstone reads “Until the Grand Reunion, Easter Day”. He was 22.
