William Regan had been a pupil at the Practising School and later joined the 1st/ 3rd Battalion Monmouthshire Regiment as a Private.

He was wounded on 8 May 1915 and taken as a prisoner of war. He died in a German hospital on 22 May 1915, aged 22. His headstone reads “Son of Daniel Regan of Cheltenham, Glos. Rest in Peace”.
