Alexander McBride attended St Paul’s College from 1933-1935. He came from 63 Hobmoor Road, Small Heath, Birmingham where he lived with his parents Thomas and Olive. While at college his nickname was “Buster”.

Alexander became a Leading Airman on HMS Grebe in the Royal Navy and was killed on 30 October 1942, aged 27. He is commemorated on Lee-On-Solent Memorial
